I spotted Ms. Collins from across the room. She didn’t know that I was loving her courage to rock a low hair cut and a wide brim hat. It wasn’t until the end of the day when I was leaving the gardens with my sister when I stopped Lorenza and asked if I could take a picture.

My Sister, April, who told me about the Making Brooklyn Bloom event with her supervisor, Lee and horticulturist, Morgan Powell.
Emily-Bell Dinan
I met Ms. Emily-Bell Dinan at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens today at it’s 33rd Annual Making Brooklyn Bloom.
She is the cofounder of Roger That, Garden Project which got funding to turn an empty lot into a garden last year.
