The Little Flock threw Latrina a bridal shower before she tied the knot in August. The little kids brought her little gifts and when she walked into the room, they stood up to sing a song. For them, it was all about winning prizes after answering questions. They forgot it was a party, to celebrate Latrina, and started to compete for prizes.
Why do kids love Porta Potties?? They all wanted to ‘use the bathroom badly’ when they saw the porta potties.
Mr. Ruben Diaz, Jr. addressed the crowd in Spanglish. He spoke about the Citgo oil agreement between the Bronx and Venezuela that happened in 2005. He remembred when President Hugo Chávez of Venezuela first came to the South Bronx and wanted to better the community.
Laquan got a bunch of American flags from one of the wokers and passed them out like a hired usher.
At the Concert, we were given Venezuelen flags. The kids looked at me very seriously and asked: What about the American Flag?
Laquan and Jerimiah happy to know that the concert is right past the pond!
