Jocelyn

This is, Bronx resident and TCI student, Jocelyn. I was leaving the library with two of my students and asked her if I could photograph her. I thought her style was basic but also original.

The middle photo was taken by my second grader, Sade. Jocelyn is posing with her little sister.

The Bus Stop

People waiting for the bus at third Ave. All I saw were colors!

Morise

Can you believe she is a grandmother?!

They seem to be getting younger and younger.

This is Jaylin’s grandma (the little girl who I spoke about who won the most creative award at the Mary Mitchell Center).

I love the color of her top and her hair! She’s just a beautiful woman.

Jaylin’s Outfit- Shoes

Okay, lets start with her sneakers. There are studs around the soles and the shoe laces are tulle.

Also, the dots and the hearts were added on the Converse.

Tulle? Really? For shoe laces? It’s awesome.

(There is more tulle on the heel of the sneakers)

Happy Valentine’s Day

This is a picture of  children’s book illustrator, Sean Qualls and his beautiful family. I took it at the African-American Children’s book fair and saved it for this day.

Their children are so cute and comical. They have so much spunk. The little boy drew me a picture and signed it. His signature looks just like his dads…only child-like.

Anyways, enjoy your day!
